• Had a Skype meeting going over the details of the commission. Asked him to send me a follow up email  to refer to but I also took notes. The significance of this being for a “homebrew campaign” means that it is his own setting so I have a lot of freedom (there are books with descriptions and designs for other versions of the game). 
• Started by sketching the chairs first. The ‘toast throne’ is the most chair-like one while the ‘BLT’ open sandwich is food that could be sat on in this fantasy setting. I have been interpreting the realistic use of the chair to be like fairies in old Disney cartoons- it’s more visual and fun. Sitting on a fried egg would be gross but it looks pretty and suits the suspension of disbelief that fantasy requires. 
• I also did a study of a candied apple in grey scale to practice my values and brush strokes. I might use a toffee apple as the theme for one of the weapons since red is a good candy colour. I will sketch out some designs to send off next.
